Book review: ActiveMQ In Action
I am, for many years, an active reader of the Manning serie called “in Action“. I probably bought half of the collection in printed edition. Not only because I’m pretty convinced some of them will become collectors (for example, the first version of “Struts in Action” for which I also own the accompanying T-Shirt)
, but also because I really enjoy the style of the collection and the way the chapters are structured. [...] Read More
3 tools to convert white board pictures into clear images
I just read a thread on Linked In about modeling tools in Agile, where Douglas Swartz recommended three tools to capture your diagrams from a white board, with good quality.
Haven’t tried any of them yet, but I though I would share the info. It seems the first one is now owned by PolyVision and costs some money (I couldn’t get the exact number, but I haven’t looked very much). The two others are shareware. Clearboard is a available for less than 100 €, whereas PhotoNote seems to cost only 50$ (35€).
Agile Testing Days 2011
The Agile Testing Days is an annual European conference for and by international professionals involved in the agile world. This year’s central theme is “Interactive Contribution”.
The program includes various tutorials and keynotes by Johanna Rothman, Esther Derby, Lisa Crispin, Janet Gregory, Linda Rising, Elisabeth Keogh, Gojko Adzic, Michael Bolton, Jurgen Appelo and Lasse Koskella.
The last day is filled with an Open Space led by Brett L. Schubert, Coding & Testing Dojos led by Markus Gaertner and a TestLab led by James Lyndsay and Bart Knaack.
A few consultants of Agile Partner attended the conference last year and were really inspired by the sessions. We will go back there this year.
Hope to see you there!
